Sabine Kiel-Metayer spent over six years abroad working in senior positions, including five years in France – one year in Grenoble at the Institut Laue-Langevin nuclear research facility, and four years in Paris as the sales manager for the German market for Major Sports/Tecnifibre, a tennis equipment manufacturer. She then served as the managing director of the German branch of Major Sports/Tecnifibre in Düsseldorf and Hamburg for four years. In 1999, she was active in Marrakech as the sales and marketing director for the 5-star Palmeraie Golf Palace resort hotel.
Sabine-Kiel Metayer began her career in Bremen, Germany, with an apprenticeship as a shipping and chartering manager. She then went on to work for Procter & Gamble as an account manager.
